Happy Valentine's Day! This week the kids made 3-d hearts and decorated their Valentine's boxes. But the really exciting thing that happened this week is that nearly all of the students have caught on to adding and subtracting fractions pretty well. We have also learned reducing fractions.
Our party will be Monday after lunch.  We will make some treats, play some games, and recite the poem that students have memorized. I hope that you all have had a chance to look on Power School. If you have any problems with it, let us know.

December 20th

We are wrapping things up for Christmas break. The Christmas program will be held on Tuesday, the 21st. Students need to be in the classroom by 5:45. The program begins at 6:00 and will last less than an hour.


Tuesday morning we will be going to the theater for a movie. The cost for pop and popcorn is $2.00


School lets out on Wednesday at 12:45

We welcome Mrs. Massey to our class. She is working as an aid for us in the afternoons and is a huge asset to our class.


This week we started practicing for the Christmas Program which will be held on December 21st. This takes time, but we are trying to fit in as much work as possible!

End of the trimester

  • I am giving students until Wednesday the 17th to finish their AR reading goal for the first trimester. We want everyone to celebrate their success on Thursday.
  • Report cards will be sent home on Thursday, the 18th.  Parent/ Teacher Conferences are on Thursday night and Friday morning. I am lookng forward to meeting you all.
  • The bookfair is this week. Students may make purchases Wednesday thru Friday.
  • Picture retakes are Thursday, November 18
